Passenger journal: This journal provides a glimpse of a journey on the United States. It was obtained the at an auction, and is the account of an eastbound crossing in May of 1953. It’s unsigned, but from the content the author appears to have a Naval background. He is an acquaintance of Captain Anderson. Nautical terms are used i.e. following seas, and when the ships encounters a storm he measures it’s intensity with the Beaufort scale. The Duke & Duchess of Windsor are aboard.
